ADMISSION

Early registration on the waiting list is recommended and taken all year round. We welcome applications from all interested families as long as they agree with the Montessori philosophy and principles. To join, children must be potty-trained. Priority is given to children with an English speaking background, to siblings, alumni and children from other Montessori schools.

Admission procedure

  1. Fill in the contact form.
  2. A pre-application form will be sent to you by email to enroll your child on the waiting list.
  3. An invitation to a parent information evening and a school visit will be scheduled.
  4. The registration form and general school conditions will be given to you.
  5. Once the registration form is signed, the deposit & the registration fees payed your child’s space is secured.
  6. Before School begin your child will be invited for a class visit during school hours.

school fees include: tuition, introduction to French, lunch, snacks, art & craft supplies, stationery, books,  baking and music & movement groups

10% discount on school fees for the second child if the sibling still attends school

Curriculum

We offer the full three year Montessori curriculum for children aged 3 to 6, including practical experiences, sensorial discoveries, reading, writing, mathematical activities, geography, science, botany and art.

Conditions
  1. we agree to pay a non-returnable Registration Fee of SFr. 150.- with this Registration Form and understand that this does not guarantee a place.
  2. We agree to pay a deposit of SFr. 600.- on acceptance of a place, which will be deducted form the child’s last term fees.
  3. We agree to pay the fees on the due dates prior to the beginning of each term.
  4. We agree that the entry of a child may be refused in case of non-payment of fees.
  5. We agree that the fees are payable in full during periods of absence for whatever reason.
  6. We agree that we are jointly and severally liable for the payment of fees.
  7. We agree to announce the withdrawal of our child a full term in advance by registered letter, or the deposit will be held against us and the fees of the entire following term will be due.
  8. Our child has an RC (responsabilité civile) and medical insurance. We attach a copy of the insurance certificate and a copy of his vaccination booklet with this Registration Form.
  9. We agree for our child to be taken on outside walks/visits.
  10. We agree for our child to be on unnamed photographs/films for the use of the school and the school’s website.
  11. We do give permission for our child to be taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
  12. There is a period of probation of three weeks. If for some reason your child is not ready or unhappy you have the possibility to withdraw your child during this time. Likewise, the teaching staff can take the decision to postpone or refuse the entry of a child after meeting and discussing the matter with you.
  13. In case of force majeure the situation will be dealt with individually.
